Michael Antolin gave an analysis of how to approach risk, focusing on plague and hantavirus. Vivian Dullien discussed the procedures and steps necessary for approval of new drugs or vaccines. Kendall Preston, substituting for Lindsay Diamond, discussed her research on developing a thermally stable vaccine for Ebola. James DeGregori served as moderator for the discussion period.
